NEW STUFF
PLEASE NOTE: OPENING TIME NOW AT 9:00
With whetted taste buds, we welcome three new local purveyors this week. From Onley, on the Eastern Shore, check out A Weekend Baker. Nita Daley’s pound cakes have a loyal following at the Onancock Farmers Market. She makes five kinds (plain, chocolate, almond, coconut, and marble) in three sizes, or try it by the slice. Look for fresh apple cake this week, too, and her signature Monster Chocolate Chip cookies.
The Green Cat at 38th and Pacific offers smoothies, salads, and sides from fresh fruits and vegetables that glisten with healthful ingredients. If you haven’t been to their storefront, here’s a chance to try their delicious offerings as you shop or to take home.
Fudge Grudge is Trey Hannah’s baby. His slogan is, “The Fudge You Hate to Love.” Seasonal flavors of pumpkin and maple walnut are October-ready, along with traditional chocolate and peanut butter varieties. Take a nudge toward this fudge, and you be the judge.
Look for more new vendors this fall as the market continues to grow.
See you Saturday!
