Cromwell’s Produce is a local family owned farm is located at 3116 New Bridge Road in Virginia Beach. John farms their 60 acres under cultivation and wife Betsy oversees the produce stand. Their daughter Elizabeth oversees sales at the Old Beach Farmers Market.
Mattawoman Creek Farms, located on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, is owned and operated by Rick and Janice Felker. They grow a wide variety of organic vegetables and herbs on their certified organic farm. www.MattawomanCreekFarms.com
Full Quiver Farm, located in Suffolk, is a family enterprise headed by Scott and Alison Wilson. All nine children are involved in raising chickens, pigs and cows and tending twelve acres of vegetables. LG’s Happy Clam Stand is run by Laura Gray Dodson, a middle schooler at Broadwater Academy on the Eastern Shore. Her mother Keith is Laura Gray’s driver and helps sell clams at the Old Beach Farmers Market. Her father Chip Dodson and her older brother Zach dig clams from their beds in the lower Chesapeake Bay. Clams are sold in bags of 25, 50 or 100.
