Old Beach Farmers Market (OBFM) is a quaint open air market that gathers in the parking lot of Croc's 19th Street Bistro, a local neighborhood restaurant along the 19th Street Corridor in the heart of the Virginia Beach resort and near the Old Beach neighborhood. Just a six block walk from the oceanfront and one block from the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Walking or riding a bike is encouraged including bringing a reusable shopping bag.
The America’s Favorite Farmers Markets™ Contest
In order to achieve this we need lots of votes and need help from our friends of our market to vote for OBFM.
The contest is a project of the American Farmland Trust. And it is designed to raise national awareness about the importance of supporting fresh food from local farms and farmers. Market shoppers will vote to support their favorite farmers market starting June 1 until midnight on August 31, 2010.
OBFM is a certified Virginia Green Event since 2008, the first certified farmers market in the Commonwealth's new voluntary Virginia Green Program that promotes eco-friendly practices in all aspects of Virginia's tourism. OBFM is supporter of Virginia’s Finest, Virginia Wines and Virginia Grown.
